When Elena’s family was displaced after a natural disaster, she lost more than a house — she lost her entire support network. “We moved to a city where I knew no one. I felt invisible.”

A school counselor connected her to the HerVoice Community Circles, small groups of women and girls who meet weekly for mutual support, skill-sharing, and healing.

“The first meeting, I cried. Not from sadness — from relief. These women understood without me having to explain everything.” Elena now facilitates her own circle for recently relocated young women.
